This Privacy Policy applies to the EwiiDine web platform as well as our mobile applications, including EwiiDine Restaurant Manager, EwiiDine Waiter, and EwiiDine Delivery, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, subscribe to our service, or contact support. This includes your name, email address, phone number, restaurant details, payment information, and any other information you choose to provide.

Data collected by our mobile apps:

  • Restaurant Manager: login credentials, order data, menus, branches, sales reports, and notifications.
  • Waiter: employee login, orders, table status, tips, cash register transactions, and customer information.
  • Delivery: driver credentials, real-time GPS location during active deliveries, delivery history, and earnings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process transactions and send related information, send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages, respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests, and monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our services.

3. Mobile App Permissions

Our apps request the following permissions on your device:

  • Notifications: to deliver real-time alerts for orders, call-waiter requests, and delivery assignments.
  • Location (GPS): used only by the Delivery app for real-time tracking during active deliveries. Background access is required to maintain tracking while the app is minimized.
  • Camera: to scan QR codes, capture bill photos, and delivery proof images.
  • Storage: to cache menu and order data for offline use.
  • Phone: to allow delivery drivers to call customers directly from the app.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit app functionality.

4. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our platform, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase (push notifications, analytics, crash reporting)
  • Google Maps (mapping and location services)
  • Stripe & Moneris (payment processing)
  • Twilio (SMS and WhatsApp notifications)
  • Pusher (real-time messaging)
  • Wasabi Cloud Storage (file storage, hosted in Canada)

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

EwiiDine complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. Data is hosted in Canada and is not transferred outside the country without adequate safeguards. You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time.

9. Children's Privacy

The EwiiDine applications are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete the personal information we have on you. You can do this by logging into your account settings or by contacting us directly. You also have the right to data portability and the right to restrict or object to our processing of your personal data.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time:
